The Lights Off movement in Paris is an initiative in which participants turn off as many lights as possible that are left on all night by the capital's shops and the signs that are left illuminated.
Kevin Ha, a parkour enthusiast who is taking part in the movement, calls it a "benevolent operation" to "raise awareness of sustainable development issues."
It aims to encourage responsible energy consumption.

Parkour is a discipline that requires training to navigate any terrain or an obstacle course using only physical strength – it involves running, jumping and climbing.
Fitness, balance, spatial awareness, agility, coordination and precision are key.
It allows its practitioners such as Ha to perform the sport as well as use it to help protect the environment as they are able to access hard-to-reach, high-up switches. The movement is gaining momentum and having an impact.
"Last week, we came to turn off the sign right behind me and, to our surprise, this week it's off," says Ha.
"It shows that our action had an impact that leads to concrete actions, so we hope that it is a sign of good things for the future, too."
