This year, a host of famous faces in the world of entertainment have sadly passed away. We've rounded up five of the most notable talents and remembered some of their most memorable achievements.
Lisa Marie Presley
Singer Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the "King of Rock 'n' Roll," Elvis Presley, died at the age of 54. She suffered a cardiac arrest in her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas.
She had attended the Golden Globes awards show in Beverly Hills a few days before her death, where actor Austin Butler won the best actor award for portraying her father in the film "Elvis." Butler paid tribute to Lisa Marie Presley and her mother during his acceptance speech.
Presley is survived by her mother, Priscilla Presley and three daughters.
South Korean singer Moonbin, a member of K-pop boy band Astro, died at the age of 25. Moonbin was a child actor before making his debut as a member of Astro in 2016. He was found dead at his home in the Gangnam district of Seoul, with experts listing suicide as the suspected cause of death.
Moonbin was part of a musical family - his younger sister Moon Sua, is a member of the South Korean girl band Billlie. His mother also played a notable role in his career, helping him to debut as a child model in 2004 before he made his first musical breakthrough with an appearance in a TVXQ video.
The young star also enjoyed success as an actor. In 2009, he starred in the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. He soon joined entertainment company Fantagio and from there began his ascent to super stardom, after coming through a multi-year trainee scheme to prepare him for life in the spotlight.

Sinead O'Connor
Irish singer Sinead O'Connor, known for her stirring voice, 1990 chart-topping hit "Nothing Compares 2 U" and outspoken views, died at the age of 56. Police said O'Connor was found unresponsive at an address in London and pronounced dead at the scene. The death was not being treated as suspicious, they said.
Brash and direct - her shaved head, pained expression, and shapeless wardrobe a direct challenge to popular culture's long-prevailing notions of femininity and sexuality – O'Connor irrevocably changed the image of women in music.
She crashed onto the global music scene with her mesmerizing version of "Nothing Compares 2 U", originally written by Prince and accompanied by a music video in which she faced directly into the camera and cried.
Known as much for her outspoken views on religion, sex, feminism and war as for her music, she is remembered in some quarters for ripping up a photo of Pope John Paul II during a 1992 television appearance on "Saturday Night Live," declaring: "Fight the real enemy."
O'Connor, who married four times, was ordained a priest in 1999 by a breakaway Catholic group and converted to Islam in 2018. She changed her name to Shuhada Sadaqat, though continued to perform under the name Sinead O'Connor. Her teenage son Shane, one of her four children, died by suicide last year.

Matthew Perry
Actor Matthew Perry, beloved star of the top-rated 1990s U.S. television sitcom "Friends" as the wise-cracking Chandler Bing, died aged 54. He was found dead in the jacuzzi of his Los Angeles home.
Perry was best known for his long-time role as Chandler in the internationally successful "Friends," which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004, co-starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.
The five surviving co-stars of the show paid tribute to their colleague in a joint message lamenting his death as an "unfathomable loss."
Following "Friends," Perry went on to star in three more network television ventures that proved short-lived - "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Mr. Sunshine" and "Go On."
He also logged guest appearances or recurring roles in other hit TV shows, including "The West Wing," "Ally McBeal," "Scrubs" and "Beverly Hills, 90210." His motion picture credits included "Fools Rush In," "The Whole Nine Yards," "Almost Heroes" and "Three to Tango."
Perry's death came one year after publication of his memoir, "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing," which chronicled his decades-long struggle with addiction to prescription painkillers and alcohol. At the time, Perry said he had been sober for about 18 months.
