40 million-year-old saber-tooth tiger skeleton could fetch $90,000 at auction

A 40 million-year-old skeleton of a saber-tooth tiger could fetch up to $90,000 at an auction in Geneva, Switzerland.

The skeleton, measuring almost four feet, was found buried on a South Dakota ranch in the U.S..

"The bones were meticulously cleaned and this black iron skeleton was added to magnify the animal," said auctioneer Bernard Piguet ahead of the sale, which will take place on December 8.

 

 

Also for sale will be a Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur tooth, which is expected to be sold for more than $3,000 and a 75 million-year-old ammolite gemstone that is expected to sell for up to $33,000.
