Multilateralism has been one of the key issues of 2025. The 80th anniversary of the United Nations in October focused the world's attention on just how countries can come together to solve global problems.
Some countries - like China - place multilateralism at the very heart of their future plans, others - like the US - appear to be taking a step back from truly worldwide cooperation.
So as we move into 2026 - what might all that mean?
