China's epic fantasy film "The Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force" was premiered in London on Thursday.
Based on the 16th-century novel "Investiture of the Gods" of the Ming Dynasty, the trilogy focused on the historic period of time between the falling of the Shang Dynasty (1600 B.C. - 1046 B.C.) and the rising of the Zhou Dynasty (1046 B.C. - 256 B.C.).
The premiere was held in BFI IMAX, the cinema with the largest IMAX screen in the UK.
During the event, the production team including the director and actors had a live call with the audience in London, taking their questions and sharing New Year greetings.
The film was brought to the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium by CMC Pictures, which has premiered many Chinese movies including "The Wandering Earth" and "Ne Zha".
At least 500 viewers went to the premiere, and some of them shared their feelings of the film with CGTN Europe.
The box office during the 2025 Spring Festival film season hit 620 million dollars by Friday afternoon. "The Creation of the Gods II" has secured at least 97 million dollars box office.
