Israel attacks school

At least 20 people were killed in an Israeli artillery strike on a school sheltering displaced families in central Gaza.

The Gaza-based Civil Defence Agency, run by Hamas, reported that the attack targeted the Nuseirat camp, causing extensive casualties and wounding dozens more. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that they were investigating these claims.

Earlier in the day, five children were reportedly killed in a drone strike while playing on a street corner in the al-Shati camp in northern Gaza. Graphic images from the scene depicted the bodies of young boys, one of whom was found clutching marbles.

According to eyewitnesses, the drone strike hit a passerby, also injuring seven others. The family of one of the victims, named Rami, shared an emotional tribute online, explaining they had moved to al-Shati for safety after fleeing their home in Jabalia.

An Israeli airstrike struck the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah early on Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least four people and igniting a fire that spread through a nearby tent camp for displaced individuals. More than two dozen people suffered severe burns, as reported by Palestinian medical sources.

The Israeli military stated that the airstrike targeted militants hiding among civilians but did not provide specific evidence to support this claim. In recent months, Israeli forces have frequently attacked crowded shelters and tent camps, alleging that Hamas militants are using these locations for operations.

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital was already under strain from treating casualties from a previous strike on a school-turned-shelter, which had resulted in at least 20 fatalities. Following the early morning strike, secondary explosions were reported, but it remains unclear whether these were caused by munitions or fuel tanks.

Hospital records confirmed four fatalities and 40 injuries from the airstrike, with 25 individuals transferred to Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza due to severe burns.

Israeli naval base targeted

Hezbollah claimed responsibility on Monday for launching a rocket attack on an Israeli naval base near Haifa. This came just a day after the Lebanese militant group said it carried out a drone strike near the city, killing four Israeli soldiers.

In a statement, Hezbollah fighters said they targeted the 'Stella Maris' naval base as part of their continued resistance, dedicating the attack to their late leader Hassan Nasrallah, who they claim was killed in an Israeli airstrike last month in Beirut.

Hezbollah drone attack

Four Israeli soldiers were killed, and over 50 were wounded in a Hezbollah drone strike on a military base in northern Israel on Sunday night, the IDF confirmed.

The strike hit a base near Binyamina, located around 20 miles south of Haifa. Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group, claimed responsibility, stating that the attack targeted a Golani Brigade training camp and was in retaliation for Israeli operations in southern Lebanon and Beirut.

Gaza food distribution center hit

Palestinian medics said on Monday that at least 10 people were killed and 30 injured by Israeli tank shells that hit a food distribution centre in northern Gaza's Jabalia, with casualties including women and children.

The Israeli military said it was looking into the report. Medics said an Israeli drone had opened fire where dozens of residents had gathered to receive food.

Jabalia has been the focus of an Israeli military offensive for around 10 days. The military completed the encirclement of the historic refugee camp and has sent tanks into the nearby Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun towns, with the declared aim of stamping out Hamas fighters who are trying to regroup there.
