Huge hydropower station hits new milestone

Located on the Jinsha River, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the second-largest hydropower station in the world has broken new records.

China's Baihetan Hydropower Station has generated over 100 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity since it opened in 2021. That's equivalent to 82.4 million tons of carbon dioxide reduction.

Golden September for new energy vehicles

Sales of cars - particularly electric ones - have rocketed in China. 

Analysts are calling it 'Golden September' after the encouraging news in the auto industry which came despite the withdrawal of government subsidies.

Top class delivery for holiday parcels

The express delivery industry in China handled over 5.1 billion parcels during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday.

The eight-day holiday is the longest public holiday in the second half of the Chinese year with family members sending special festival presents to each other.

Bumper harvests due despite bad weather

Autumn grain harvests have boosted China's major grain-producing regions with improved agricultural methods overcoming the impact of bad weather.

In Xinyang City in central China's Henan Province, more than 580,000 hectares of grain was produced.

Historic cultural park shines on river

The development of a 11-kilometer stretch along the Yangtze River has helped to boost its famous National Cultural Park. The Jiujiang section of the park in Jiangxi Province connects famous attractions such as the Jiujiang Yangtze River dual-use bridge, Pipa Pavilion, Suojiang Tower, and Xunyang Tower.
