Scientists complete research in Arctic Ocean

Chinese scientists have made multiple achievements in hydrologic, meteorological and physics experiments during the 13th expedition to the Arctic Ocean.

On the domestically-built Xuelong-2 polar icebreaker, researchers have carried out multiple experiments, analyzing sea ice.

Beijing museum opens to the public with precious relics

The Chinese Archaeological Museum has opened its doors in Beijing to show off precious relics presenting over 5,000 years of the Chinese civilization. 

The new national cultural landmark houses five themed sections, covering an area of over 7,000 square meters, exhibiting items from the Paleolithic period to modern times.

 

Opening 'greener' ceremony set to dazzle Asian Games

Futuristic light shows, colorful costumes and sets and choreography portraying scenes of Chinese and Asian cultures and history will light up the opening of the Asian Games.

Hangzhou in Zhejiang will host the glamorous two-week event where 12,000 athletes from 45 Asian countries and regions will compete in 481 events.

Celebrating 10 years of China-Europe freight trains

The China-Europe freight train service was launched in 2013 and has achieved huge successes with its many advantages over sea, air and road transport.

Its trains have made 77,000 trips, transporting goods with a combined value exceeding $340 billion to 25 European member states and 11 Asian countries.

 

First China-built cruise ship set for big launch

China's first domestically-built large cruise ship, the Adora Magic City, will set sail in January from Shanghai.

The boat is 323.6 meters long with a gross tonnage of 135,500 tonnes, has 2,125 guest rooms, 22 distinctive restaurants and bars with space for 5,246 passengers.
