• Russia's defense ministry said it had detected and destroyed an unmanned Ukrainian boat in the Black Sea, at a time when Ukrainian forces appear to be launching more regular attacks on Russian ships.

• A Ukrainian missile attack on the Sevastopol Shipyard in Russian-controlled Crimea this week caused heavy damage to a large Russian landing ship and submarine, commercial satellite imagery showed.

• Fragments of Russian-style drones have been found on Romanian territory for a third time, NATO said. NATO spokesman Dylan White said in a statement that the Romanian ambassador to the alliance updated allies on "Russia's continued attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure near Romania." • Ukraine struck Russian air defense systems near the town of Yevpatoriya in the west of Crimea in a long-range overnight attack, the Ukrainian military said. Russia's defense ministry said in a statement that its air defenses had shot down 11 drones overnight over the peninsula. It made no mention of any damage.

• The Ukrainian air force said that air defenses destroyed 17 out of 22 Russian drones launched overnight. The air force said on Telegram that the attacks came from three different origins over five and a half hours. It said the Iranian-made Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles were launched in the direction of the Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

• Ukrainian shelling killed one man and damaged power supply lines in Russia's Kursk region, Governor Roman Starovoit said in a post on Telegram. Starovoit said the man had been killed after shelling in the town of Tetkino on the Russia-Ukraine border and that 10 shells had been recorded as striking the village of Gordeevka. No casualties were recorded there, Starovoit said.

• Bulgaria decided not to extend a ban on Ukrainian grain imports in five eastern EU nations that is set to expire this week. Bulgaria's parliament voted 124-69 on a resolution to end the ban, citing "solidarity with Ukraine" and the need to "guarantee food security on a global scale." President Zelenskyy welcomed the decision.

Russian-style drone fragments found in Romania for third time

Fragments of Russian-style drones have been found on Romanian territory for a third time, NATO said.

NATO spokesman Dylan White said in a statement that the Romanian ambassador to the alliance updated allies on "Russia's continued attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure near Romania."

He added however, that "NATO has no information indicating any intentional attack by Russia against Allied territory."

As a NATO member, Romania is party to NATO's mutual defense agreement.

Romanian soldiers discovered drone fragments around the eastern village of Plauru near the Ukrainian border on Saturday, and Bucharest announced on Sunday that it had protested to the Russian government.

Drone debris had already been discovered in the Plauru region, opposite the Ukrainian port of Izmail, at the beginning of last week, just a few kilometers from Saturday's discovery.

The NATO spokesman said Romania had "informed Allies that fragments of drones similar to those used by Russia have been identified on Romanian territory for a third time."

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed the situation in a telephone conversation over the weekend.

Stoltenberg said on microblogging site X, formerly Twitter, there was "no indication of intent to hit NATO, but the strikes are destabilizing."
