The Chinese government has honored two more recipients with its annual Friendship Awards.
The prestigious national prize is awarded to foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China in the fields of economics and social progress.
France's Jean-Marc Dublanc, an expert in animal nutrition and food security, and Ethiopian agricultural economist Getachew Engida - a former UNESCO deputy director-general - received their awards in an intimate ceremony in France.
Engida told CGTN: "I never expected this prize in the middle of this journey so I'm delighted, honored and humbled."
The Friendship Award is the highest honor bestowed by China on foreign experts for extraordinary contributions to the country's modernization.
Chinese foreign affairs authorities say the latest winners have been honored for their unique skills and insights which have benefited China and its global partners.

More than 1,800 people have been awarded the prize since it was first established in 1991. Around 50 winners from around the world are announced every year.

Following French president Emmanuel Macron's diplomatic visit to China earlier this month, Chinese authorities say these awards reinforce the country's commitment to working with other countries.
Lu Shaye, China's Ambassador to France, said: "China's development hinges on its relationship with the rest of the world and the assistance of foreigners.
"The Chinese government invites foreign experts to help build the country, build the modernisation of the country. The Friendship Award thanks the foreign experts who have made an important contribution to the friendly cooperation between China and foreign countries.
"They have helped China's economic, scientific and educational development."
