As former British Prime Minister Harold Wilson once said – "A week is a long time in politics". Never has that seemed truer than the last seven days in the UK, with the sacking of Finance Minister Kwasi Kwarteng, the almost total reversal of his mini-budget, and the resignation of the Home Secretary.

And then, the big one, the resignation of Liz Truss as Prime Minister after just 45 days – the shortest term ever for a leader of the UK.
