Torrential rain and melting glaciers in recent weeks have left one third of Pakistan underwater. Thirty three million people have been affected - many forced from their homes - and more than 1,500 have lost their lives. International aid has been delivered - but nowhere near the $10-50 billion that may be needed to get the country back on its feet.

So in this edition of The Agenda, Juliet Mann looks into just what needs to be done and why the world seems so reluctant to come forward with essential assistance.

Juliet speaks to Pakistan's Climate Minister, Sherry Rehman, who is attending the UN General Assembly in New York, and she's joined by the World Food Programme's Chris Kaye in Karachi, who addresses concerns that after the floods could come famine.
