FACE TO FACE: SIR MARTIN SORRELL - The Agenda
CGTN
29:50

In his 33 years as CEO, Sir Martin Sorrell turned WPP - a company which initially made wire shopping baskets into the world's largest advertising and public relations firm. Ousted in 2018 following allegations of misconduct –  he was the longest serving CEO of a FTSE100 company - he's now founded a new ad company S4 Capital.

In his years at the very top of one of the world's most competitive industries, he's seen recessions come and go, the rise of China as a truly global player and, of course, the birth of the internet.

Here, he speaks exclusively to Juliet Mann about the current global economic turmoil, the crucial relationship between China and the US, and the role of advertising in an increasingly digital world.
