This year's Wimbledon, the world's only major tennis competition to take place on grass courts, has come to an end as Serbian sportsman Novak Djokovic took home his seventh trophy from the English contest.

"I did definitely feel support and love from the crowd, so I'm very grateful for that," said a triumphant Djokovic, following the match - and a difficult year for the champion. He refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19, and it was unclear if he would be allowed to compete.
