INSIDE TURKEY - The Agenda
CGTN
29:39

For centuries, Turkey has had a unique role in geopolitics. Looking both east and west, it has been a major player in key global events – including most recently at the NATO summit in Madrid, where concessions were made in order for Turkey to agree to allowing Sweden and Finland to join up.

But with the current shifts in international relations caused by everything from COVID-19 to conflict, how is Turkey's role changing?

That's the subject of this edition of The Agenda, where Juliet Mann speaks exclusively to Ilnur Çevik, Chief Foreign Policy Adviser to President Erdoğan. They discuss NATO, the EU and the crucial role Turkey is playing in the conflict in Ukraine.

And from foreign affairs to finances - Juliet also talks to Atilla Yesilada, Turkey Country Analyst for GlobalSource Partners, about why record growth isn't going to be enough to save the country from hyperinflation.
