As Ukraine enters its seventh week under Russian assault, just how close might we be to some form of resolution? Peace talks have taken place, but appear to have somewhat stalled, accusations of Russian war crimes only seem to be escalating, and both sides appear if anything more entrenched than they were before Russia began its "special military operation".

So on this episode of The Agenda, Stephen speaks to Russian Federation Senator, Konstantin Kosachev to find out what Moscow now thinks needs to happen to bring peace to the region, and to explain why Russia doesn't feel isolated in spite of ever-increasing Western sanctions.

And he's also joined by Alexander Stubb, former Prime Minister Finland, and one of the negotiators that helped secure a peace deal between Russia and Georgia in 2008. He warns that the road to peace in Ukraine will be far harder than it was in Georgia, and explains that this conflict could in fact lead to a brand new world order.
