China has accused Norway of "creating imaginary enemies" and showing hostility following the publication of an intelligence report.

In its 2022 threat assessment document , the Norwegian security service claimed that Chinese hackers have been targeting politicians and those suspected of being critical of Beijing.

China's embassy in Oslo said it was dissatisfied and strongly opposed to the claims, saying they were without any basis in fact.

It urged Norway to work together to address common challenges and seek mutually beneficial opportunities.

The statement went on to state: "China will continue to follow the path of peaceful development. Its development will keep bringing more opportunities to countries around the world, including Norway."
