China is the world's top exporter of COVID-19 vaccine, according to new data from the World Trade Organization.

The body's Vaccine Trade Tracker shows China exported 1.33bn doses to October 31, which is 46 percent of the global total.

And the number has leapt further in the past month, according to the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), which says that shipping a further 700,000 doses to its Southeast Asian neighbor Laos pushed the total past 1.8bn

The European Union is in second spot, with 876.5m doses exported and the U.S. is third, with 300.8m. They account for 30.3 percent and 10.4 percent of total global exports, respectively.
