London's Metropolitan Police arrested 30 people following the England-Scotland game at Wembley. Scotland Yard tweeted that 13 arrests included assaults on police, drinking and drug offenses.

• Denmark's Christian Eriksen has been discharged from hospital following a successful operation to implant a heart-starter device. The midfielder collapsed on the pitch due to a cardiac arrest during the game against Finland.

• Spain captain Sergio Busquets, freshly back from 12 days' quarantine for COVID-19, could play against Poland on Saturday. "There's no problem, he was asymptomatic and was able to keep training at home," said coach Luis Enrique.

• England's players have had Formula 1 racing simulators set up at their training camp by McLaren driver Lando Norris's brother. "Some of them have been trying to beat one of my lap times that I did at Brands Hatch," Norris told reporters at the French Grand Prix.

The Coca-Cola row rumbles on, with news that Spain coach Luis Enrique moved bottles – as Cristiano Ronaldo did – at a press conference last Sunday, joking "Don't drink Coca-Cola, kids."

FRIDAY'S RESULTS:

Sweden 1-0 Slovakia

Emil Forsberg's second-half penalty ended Sweden's run of 365 goalless minutes at the Euros finals – and propelled his team toward the knockouts.

Sweden had battled to a 0-0 with Spain but struggled to break down Slovakia, who – having beaten Poland – could have qualified with victory in this game.

However, the disappointing Slovaks didn't register a single shot on target, while Fosberg's goal put Sweden top of the group, pending Spain's game with Poland tonight.

Croatia 1-1 Czechia

Croatia fought back from the brink of elimination to share the points with Czechia as Ivan Perisic became the country's first player to score in four major championships.

Having lost to England, Croatia faced a zero-point haul from the first two games when Patrik Schick, who had scored twice in Czechia's win over Scotland, scored a first-half penalty.

However, manager Zlatko Dalic's half-time tactical rejig helped Croatia improve notably to grab a draw which revived their qualification hopes.

England 0-0 Scotland

The boos echoing around Wembley were not in reaction to players taking the knee as an anti-racism gesture, but for England's performance – while the thousands of traveling Scotland fans hailed their own side's energetic determination.

John Stones headed against Scotland's crossbar early on but England's bright start faded, with the hosts only registering one effort on target.

Scotland, who improved as the game went on, would have scored but for Reece James's goal-line clearance of Lyndon Dykes's shot.
