Horses are being used in Costa Rica's capital San Jose to provide therapy for people.
The idea was introduced by former equine-assisted therapy patient William Jimenez who realized the animals could be helpful.
"Maybe it sounds ridiculous to some people, but not to me," Jimenez said, explaining that the horses "are four-legged psychologists and have such a huge heart. That's why they are helping us."

The program has been received positively by those who have used the service so far.
Stephanie, who is battling anxiety and depression, told AFP the therapy may have saved her life.
"I was ready to do something crazy. I really was. Thank God, I have been through this therapy. This is my fourth time here and as you can see, I am not shaking, I am not scared, I am calm, and I feel confident because I have just completed a therapy session."
