Despite the ongoing pandemic, sailors from across Europe traveled to central Russia and the world's deepest lake for a special kind of race. 

Instead of using wind to propel them across the waves, in ice sailing the boats are set on skates and try to avoid "snow pies."

And it's not for the faint-hearted – the craft speed across the frozen Lake Baikal at up to 100 kilometers per hour.
