For the past century, industrial farming practices and the globalization of our food supply have caused great damage to environmental systems and contributed to the climate crisis. So how do we feed a growing population safely and sustainably? Indoor vertical farming could be part of the answer.
RAZOR's Frankie McCamley is in London to visit Vertical Future. They have been running a traditional vertical farm for the past three and a half years, growing fresh produce for local restaurants. Working out the shortcomings of existing systems, Vertical Future has redesigned many elements of these vertical farms with the plan to sell their hardware and software to future farmers across the world.
