Spain's helicopter rescue service has pulled three surfers to safety after they were left stranded at sea.
The surfers were reportedly stuck between rocks among waves exceeding eight meters off La Cristina de Valdovino in northern Spain.
The rescue team were alerted that the surfers had difficulties getting out of the water at around 5 30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Maritime Rescue helicopter, named the Helimer 204, along with its team, were quickly on their way.
The three men were flown to the nearest airport, Alvedro, where they were collected by a road ambulance and taken to hospital to treatment.
One of the surfers had cuts on his feet and injured his back, but none of the three suffered serious injures, the coastguard said.
