Scientists around the world are in a race to successfully develop the first COVID-19 vaccine but while a major step forward, Jerome Kim, director general of the International Vaccine Institute, has told The Agenda with Stephen Cole it won't in itself solve the pandemic.

The next challenge will be to ensure it is delivered safely and efficiently to billions across the world, so the logistical planning of the operation will be key.

"It's only if we get that process right that we'll find the silver bullet to kill off COVID-19," said Kim.
