It's easy to feel anxious about what's going on in the world today and Razor's Emma Keeling has certainly had her moments.  But she's felt inspired and encouraged by the stories she has been privileged enough to be involved in so far.  And not all the world's problems are being solved in a laboratory.

So this week on Razor, Emma gives you an insight into her life as a science and tech reporter, taking a closer look at some of the incredible work being done by some of the world's leading scientists and innovators.

Highlights include a guided tour of the Energy Observer, a hydrogen boat travelling the world to promote greener maritime travel.  What most surprised her was how accessible all the technology is to all boating enthusiasts.

A trip to Mars wasn't in the budget but Emma has had the opportunity to talk to some of the people involved in finding life on Mars and eventually, landing man safely on the red planet.

Lastly, she donned a lab coat to spend time with Professor Armin Hajitou who is researching bacteriophages to treat cancer. In many ways it was the most challenging story to tell but also one of the most hopeful as the professor and his team look to cure one of the most aggressive tumours.
