A round of "intense negotiations" between the EU and the UK will begin on Monday as the two sides continue to discuss the terms of the Brexit deal. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he favors a similar agreement to the one which Australia has with the bloc if they cannot establish terms before the transition period ends.
Australia's current deal is similar to the World Trade Organization rules. However, certain goods have specific export and import agreements and this could be an option for the UK as both sides are still no nearer a conclusion.
