If you are out doing your daily exercise allowance in Berlin, you might come across a piece of innovative art hanging from a balcony.
That's because artists, prevented from displaying their work in shut-down galleries and museums, are resorting to hanging it from balconies instead.
More than 50 artists have taken part in the project in Berlin's tourist-driven Prenzlauer Berg district so far, with the aim of getting people to take a walk in their own neighborhood rather than being tempted to travel elsewhere.
Organizers of the project see the art as a statement of solidarity in the face of isolation and COVID-19.
Those taken part so far include Serbian video artist Marta Popivodia, German-Italian filmmaker Rosa Barba and conceptual artist Olaf Nicolai.
