Healthcare workers at a hospital in Doncaster, UK, took a happy moment away from the frontline to form a guard of honor as a patient was released after recovering from COVID-19. But while every success should be celebrated, Albert Chambers is no ordinary survivor: He's a World War II veteran, and is 99 years old.

Visibly moved by the emotional farewell, Chambers thanked staff for his treatment. Thousands of coronavirus sufferers have died in the UK alone, where more than two-thirds of fatalities have been over the age of 75.
