A British family's spoof rendition of the song 'One Day More' from the hit musical Les Misérables, is spreading cheer during the dark times of COVID-19.
The Marsh family from Kent, England, recreated the song in their living room using their experiences of living under lockdown, and it has already been shared hundreds of thousands of times.
"One day more. Another day, another destiny. Shopping for online delivery. I tried again only to find, there's nothing 'til September time. One day more," the song starts.
Ben and Danielle Marsh and their four children hoped the rendition would help lift the mood of others living through the same experiences.
"Here's a little walk, there's a little ride. Sunshine is a bummer when we're stuck inside," the song jokingly goes on.
Posting the video on social media, Ben Marsh wrote: "And it might be just in time to cheer up some friends and family who have had - or are about to have - birthdays, all by themselves."
Unsurprisingly, the video has gone viral, with thousands of comments from people expressing their joy and amazement at the performance.
"Sheer unadulterated brilliance," Twitter user John B commented. "Thank you all so much for this; it really uplifted my mood."
Even the producers of Les Misérables were fans - they shared the video on their social media saying: "Let the people sing! - We love the Marsh family #LesMiz lockdown version of One Day More. We hope to see more of these while we are all behind our barricades."
