In the past few weeks the European Commission has released a white paper on Artificial Intelligence (AI) outlining plans to develop and reform the industry in Europe. It promises to focus on more than just facial recognition – its aim, says the Commission, is to create legislation to aid the development of AI. 

It plans to identify high-risk sectors, introduce new regulation and to take advantage of the European Market to become the leader in AI development on a global stage.
