In the last few weeks the European Commission has released a White Paper on Artificial Intelligence outlining plans to develop and reform artificial intelligence (AI) in Europe. It promises to focus on more than just facial recognition - its aim, says the Commission, is to create legislation to aid the development of AI. 

It will seek to identify high-risk sectors, introduce new regulation and to take advantage of the European Market to become the leader in AI development on a global stage.
