Barcelona's Urban Ecology Agency implemented its first Superblock in 2016. Although there are currently only six in operation there are plans to develop another 500 in the coming years. They aim to reduce emissions, noise pollution and traffic congestion. We spoke to architect Cynthia Echave about why she believes that superblocks are the answer to Barcelona's problems.
