The global airlines industry has been warned that losses arising from the coronavirus outbreak could be as high as $133bn.

COVID-19 has already been blamed for the collapse for the already-troubled UK budget airline Flybe.

The industry body IATA has said that with cancellations growing and bookings falling off as potential customers opt to stay away, the virus could end costing airlines anything between $65bn and $133bn.

CGTN Europe was joined by John Grant, director of JG Aviation Consultants, for his views on what may be in store.
