New figures show the life expectancy of women living in the most deprived parts of England has fallen.

The report Health Equity in England has revealed that, while women in the richer parts of the country are living on average 0.5 years longer now than 10 years ago, for those in the poorest areas the average has fallen by 0.3 years.

The report also found big regional disparities, with the biggest overall decrease in life expectancy for both men and women coming in the most deprived parts of England's North East.

CGTN Europe was joined by Robert Henderson from the charity Age UK for his reaction to the findings.
