One of the biggest challenges with renewable energy is storing it. The surplus energy created when the sun is shining and wind is blowing is normally lost as it's very difficult to store such large amounts of energy.
In this weeks RAZOR, Shini Somara visits the University of Birmingham to meet Professor Yulong Ding who has developed a way to store surplus renewable energy as liquid air. It can then be expanded from a liquid back into a gas through electricity-generating turbines.
