The theme of London Fashion Week was sustainability. Almost every designer spoke about how their fashion label were taking steps to shrink their carbon footprint and use more environmentally friendly materials.

CGTN Europe spoke to Chinese designer Huishan Zhang about how he always considers the environmental impact of production, and how his show went paperless this season. Another designer, Miranda Dunn, launched a design label that focused on slow fashion and uses sustainable materials.

However, fashion week was also a site of protest by the group extinction rebellion. They argued that the steps that the British Fashion Council has taken are not enough to mitigate the industry's environmental impact.
