The global economy will rebound fast once China has got coronavirus under control, according to investment expert André Loesekrug-Pietri.
Speaking to CGTN at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday the ACapital founder said investments will soon recover once COVID-19 is controlled, despite a temporary slowdown, and that China's consumption is unlikely be hit hard due to the fast development of E-commerce.
The element of the global economy most vulnerable to potential economic impact from COVID-19 is its integrated nature, he added.
"Shutting down an entire province, starting with a couple of very large cities is probably unprecedented in history. So that is absolutely to the credit of the Chinese government," he said.
André praised China's efforts at fighting coronavirus, but also points to the period between early December and mid-January when probably an earlier response would have been more effective.
