As the coronavirus epidemic spreads across the globe, a concerted effort to contain the disease has been launched with the World Health Organization (WHO) taking the lead. The WHO has declared a global health emergency over the outbreak which originated from China's Wuhan city in Hubei province.

Adebusuyi Adeyemi, an assistant fellowship director for the global health programme at Chatham House, a think-tank based in London, weighs in on the global response to the coronavirus.
