UK Huawei decision analysis: What happens next?

On Tuesday the UK government announced that it would allow Huawei to continue contributing to the expansion of Britain's 5G network, despite pressure from the U.S. to block the Chinese telecom firm. However, Huawei will only supply kit to "non-core" parts of the network. 

In the wake of the decision, CGTN Europe invited Dexter Thillien, senior industry analyst at Fitch Solutions, to discuss the ramifications. Among the issues Thillien addresses were: What is non-core? Is it reasonable to call Huawei a "high-risk vendor"? What might the reaction be from the U.S. and Huawei? And how much of a blow will the decision be to Huawei's competitors?
