Rolls-Royce Motor Cars achieved a sales record in 2019, delivering more than 5,100 cars to customers around the world – a 25 percent increase on the previous year and the highest number in its 116-year history.
According to CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös the introduction of Rolls-Royce's Cullinan, a luxury SUV, played an important part in achieving this. He explained that, for the first time, Rolls-Royce has put a car on the market that is designed to be practical, for daily use and for families.
In terms of buyers, Müller-Ötvös said the average age has lowered from 56 to 43. "We have also seen, and this is lovely to see, quite an impressive increase in our female share. When I joined, we were on 1 percent. And we are now close to 15 percent worldwide, which is great," he added.
