A 'significant amount' of cocaine was found on several beaches in France in October. French prosecutors have said that packages are of particularly pure and dangerous cocaine were found along France's Atlantic coast.
The prosecutor's office in France's western city of Rennes has urged residents not to touch the drug if they find it themselves.
The office said in a statement: "Suspect packages have been found on all beaches... from the Loire Atlantique department down to the Landes department," an area that is more than 500 kilometers long.
The statement did not say how much cocaine was found by the police.
French newspaper Sud-Ouest reported that on Friday two people found two packages marked 'Diamante' or 'Brillante,' totaling three kilograms of cocaine, on a beach in the southwest of Bordeaux.
Fifteen kilograms of cocaine labeled 'Diamante' was found in Florida during Hurricane Dorian in September.
